Event Details
Rueda de Casino is a Cuban salsa dance that emerged in the late 1950s. It works almost like square dancing. Dancers gather in pairs in a circle formation with a caller (who dances along with the other dancers) in the middle. During the song, the caller calls out different moves – some turn patterns, and some partner switches.
Chicago Casineros and Cuban dance instructors from around the Midwest and beyond will lead a mega-Rueda and teach new moves.
