Contest Rules:

No professionals (earn your living as), 
No lifts or tricks,  
No choreography

Open contest,  no registration fees required.  

Participating dance clubs (now thru Feb 9):

– Cubby Bear – Salsa Sundays
– Bar Louie, Skokie Holiday Inn – Sal’Cita Saturdays
– Michella’s – CBK Fridays
– Alhambra – Salsa Bachata Thursdays
– Vintage – Tropical Wednesdays
– Barcocina West Town – Baile Tuesdays

Judges will score on:

Proficiency in lead/follow ability/fluidity, 
Rhythm competency/mastery in 3 rhythms (salsa/mambo, Cha-cha-cha and bachata),
Degree of partner interaction and enjoyment of dancing

Prizes. (Cash and trophies)

1st prize $550/couple
2nd prize $350/couple
3rd prize $250/couple

On Thursday, February 13th, CISC Opening Night, there will be one final elimination round before the final for contestants in attendance to have an opportunity to join in the competition.  

Three winners from the CISC elimination round will join club first place couples in the final round to be named the 2025 CISC Best Social Dancers!  The finals will select the top 3 couples from a minimum of 7 couples for the title and cash prizes”
